Around 2001 my interest in architecture directed me toward social comment about crowding and cookie-cutter houses. I did several works of little houses (made from pop cans) crowded on tree limbs. Although they were fun, they were miserable to exhibit and transport. No one was interested in buying them or exhibiting them in their home. But this did interest me in using elements from nature. These works still use the grid and sewn paper but venture toward juxtaposing natural objects with man-made ones.
