In the 1990's I decided to do no more thematic quilts as I was spending most of my time shopping for small toys and other objects supporting the theme. I decided to use up all my surplus plastic objects and paper scraps in one work. Thus I created a work called "Where is Waldo?" I've always been a great fan of the paintings of Mark Tobey . His work has no focal point but requites the viewer to sort through it discovering interested relationships of interesting texture, form and color. I liked this free approach and did more works in this direction.
