As a child I spent the summer on my grandparents cotton farm in Northern Louisiana. My grandmother and great-grandmother often quilted after dinner. This American tradition combines many of my greatest design interests: color, pattern and fabric. My quilts are neither soft nor functional. The traditional quilt patterns are created of sprayed colorful, sewn paper. They have another theme which is added to each square. This has included everything from art supplies to toys of the Southwest.
